What's the difference between a selfie pod and a photo booth?
A traditional photo booth is an enclosure you step inside, which takes up considerably more room and creates a queue because only one group can be in it at a time. A selfie pod is an open, freestanding unit — smaller footprint, no cubicle, and guests can gather around it. You keep the professional DSLR camera and the instant prints; you lose the space requirement and the bottleneck.
Is the photo quality as good as a bigger booth?
Yes — it's the same class of professional DSLR camera and lighting we use across our range, which is the part that actually determines print quality. Be careful comparing quotes here: a lot of budget 'pods' are a tablet in a stand, and the difference is obvious in a dimly lit room. Ask any company you're considering what camera is actually inside.
Can we use the selfie pod at an exhibition stand?
It's one of the things it does best. The footprint is small enough not to eat the stand space you're paying for, the on-screen UI, overlays and prints can all carry your branding, and we can add optional GDPR-compliant data capture so you leave with an opt-in list as well as the photos.
